We're thrilled to introduce our inaugural project: an "hard sci-fi" colony sim set on an alien desert planet! We couldn't be more pleased about introducing such an exciting challenge and hope you all join in this epic journey with us!

Beware of Light is an RTS game in the hardcore city builder genre similar to Frostpunk or Ixion. Your task as colony commander is to ensure survival of your colonists on an isolated world orbiting an hyper luminous red supergiant star, all the while remaining within budget constraints and with respect for other colonies in orbit of said hyperluminous red supergiant star. Stars provide abundant energy while slowly cooking planet Earth as it drifts toward fiery destruction. You have crash landed with only minimal supplies and staff available - they all must work together or die! Ash, as you call it, has long since died and become devoid of resources - water has long evaporated away and any extractable resources lie buried under kilometers of sand. You must improvise; mixing hydrogen and oxygen, weaving fabric out of rock and extracting CO2 for plastic production should serve to make water.

As our narrative strives for scientific fidelity, we pledge to stick with real technology as much as possible; that is why we won't include nonexistent FTL technologies or any "standard sci-fi tropes", like FTL hyperdrives and AIs - instead we believe the Universe itself can be both beautiful and terrifying, while current science achievements provide as exciting an experience as any hyperdrive.

An integral component of our vision was devising ways for you to cope with lack of technologies, while facing extremes of environment. You must explore Ash in search of other survivors while traversing strange wilds shaped by an unpredictable parent star. Soon you realize you've arrived on an ocean world now dry from being heated up by Thorne-Zytkow Object; one of the most destructive stellar objects known.

Your crew's discoveries have taken their toll, forcing you to deal with various social aspects associated with extrasolar expeditions, crisis management and maintaining order throughout your colony. New discoveries keep revealing new groups with competing agendas as new information expands your universe view.

Your task as the leader of an emerging civilization is to gather your people, inspire them and leave this oppressive planet while managing rapidly deteriorating conditions. There's only ever been one campaign with multiple outcomes available so every decision matters--such as which crops go into hydroponic vats first--could have lasting ramifications such as long term effects or unexpected changes to NPC behavior.

Our product provides over 30 hours of campaign playback with high replayability potential and survival mode containing procedurally generated content, plus support for mods and user-generated content creation. Mods support is another key aspect of our offering.
