Now is finally the time for us to unveil Version 1.0 and its long-awaited Career Mode! After an epic voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, our convoy has safely arrived at its final destination and can finally celebrate as the war material finds its recipients. Although some ships were lost along the way due to U-boat attacks and many U-boats destroyed during combat operations - our journey across this vast ocean proved itself as one helluva battle!
From its inception, Career Mode was designed to deliver what many of you had asked us for: an immersive background to enhance battle scenes and immerse you further into being a destroyer captain. At such a small company as ours, it gives us great pride that this content could be created: though larger scope and higher-grade materials would have been desired by us personally; yet instead this modest take allows us to bring to you realistic yet historically accurate wartime adventures of destroyer captains in wartime settings.
So if you have enjoyed Destroyer thus far, Career Mode should provide many hours of fun while steadily ramping up in difficulty from small encounters at first through epic battles at last. Version 1.0 also adds two battle variants ('broken formation' and "endurance") that keep gameplay fresh and engaging (such as 'broken formation" or "endurance").
Thank you again for being part of Destroyer and for supporting it with such generosity, which has allowed us to shape it into what it is today. We trust its final version will meet with your expectations as well as inspire many new captains to give it a go!
