Face reworking, new boots and shader development as well as numerous bug fixes are on the agenda this month.

Redesign of Avatar Face Meshes

I spent much of this week revamping the avatar faces by testing new face meshes on each avatar, beginning last Sunday when we trialed one for Druid.

New Boot Mes, mes Recently I got an amazing boot mesh from Madraox and added it to the avatar. We are still designing all of the remaining meshes; once done I will add visually-changing boots.

Raiding.Zone Boss the HighKing now features Soul Storm; however, to prevent being damaged from it. He uses this ability across all difficulty levels!

Shader for Equipment System

I needed to rework rendering for equipment for boots.

Google gave me some ideas, as did World of Warcraft and Skyrim.

Mask out certain parts of the torso dynamically; for instance, when an armor piece is equipped, this means disguising certain sections of thorax mesh beneath its layers.

That will prevent your torso from passing through the armor unknowingly.

Implemented this system by assigning each armor piece a torso mask texture; boots have textures designed to conceal feet while armors cover parts of both chest and arm armor pieces.
