Here is an extra surprise just for you - learn about the Campaign with this exclusive sneak peak into some of its features!

USC:CF's Campaign will offer players a grand strategic layer on a planet map, persistent global inventory management, unit progression with XP gains and permadeath, narrative elements with lore & choices and even more! So how will it begin, what choices will players have when creating Campaign sessions, and how does that effect game progress? Today we're here to share more with you about all that.

From the Main menu you'll arrive on the Campaign setup screen. While your Campaign features a slot-based save system, that does not mean manual saving can't take place or multiple save files can exist! Rather, this system helps identify save files belonging to different playthroughs more quickly!

However, some forms of resistance could arise that compromise its integrity or even make matters worse. In such an instance, how would one proceed in terms of treatment options available to him / her? Difficulty settings found across game modes will regulate enemy numbers and strength as well as loot distribution; but Campaign's unique set-up means whatever items or ammo you spend will stay spent: to replenish them quickly! Campaign length/complexity controls how large of an assault you will enter. With this option enabled, the background simulation that controls alien hordes and drives your Campaign will become simpler so that you can follow a straightforward path toward completion in 15-20 hours if all goes according to plan. On Normal mode, there will be more alien activity and battles, more strategic choices will need to be made and you must manage spending and overall management more wisely for an immersive story experience that should last approximately 50 hours. Full scale mode demands even greater micromanagement; multiple enemies on various fronts await fight against limited resources as you confront all-consuming decisions you have no power over undoing!

As Fleet Commander of the USCF, you are no stranger to global politics or corporate espionage. Earth's mega-concerns in 2308 all play an active role in United Space Command activities - not everyone always follows by playing by the book! At the outset of each game, you must choose an affiliation or opt out entirely (outside USC). Your decision will have an impact on Relations and Renown systems which are integral parts of Campaign gameplay. By maneuvering through politics and accepting or declining (or failing!) secret missions, selling or withholding intelligence to various firms, your relationships with them will change - with good relationships coming rewards such as access to exclusive weapons and items. Renown measures your dignity as an officer; not engaging in questionable agreements with nonmilitary agencies is surefire way of building it up significantly. Renown can be employed more subtly than Relations when used strategically - helping reconcile warring factions, seeking additional reinforcements or maintaining morale when things go awry are all uses for Renown. Relations and Renown will provide an additional dimension of war strategy, though you might prefer not to focus on it exclusively. Still, its significance could give your choices even greater weight in certain instances; every mega-concern may contain hidden agendas which could alter its course significantly - so be wary!

Not realizing you could wage war remotely on an alien world is surprising to most, yet here we are! As Commander, you and your marines will remain aboard your flagship and can go into battle whenever needed or desired. At the start of every Campaign, you will be asked to customize an avatar representing yourself on our roster of units. This representation serves as your representative image in battle! Your choice whether or not to go into battle yourself depends entirely upon how everything unfolds; but fighting alongside marines will raise morale and increase their Renown, not to mention that some affiliation missions require direct supervision in person. Should your flagship ever come under attack, you and the rest of the crew must fight to defend it and save each other before losing! Should any member perish during battle, however, then that game ends immediately (but you may reload a previously saved game on Hardcore!). If that occurs however, there's always another try!
