Post news Report RSS Dev sunday! - Roadmap, improved terrain & more networking

We are still working on the development of this game and have finally completed a road map! New map and improved networking!

The post is a little shorter than usual because progress has been "slow". There was a network problem with some clients not connecting for a long period of time. The terrain was generated a little sloppily.

The old terrain was scrapped and a brand new terrain created from scratch. This new version fixes the issue with client connections and is much better looking!

Also, we have made some progress on the network side. We worked mainly on the Drop Pod System, but we also added some features to the Crafting and made some network-wide improvements.

At least for the closed test, the new map may be available. Depending on how the playtest goes things could change.

The roadmap shows you the plans for development and release of Obitus.

The current plan for alpha is by the fourth quarter this year, and the final version will be released in the first three months of 2019. We are still on track with our development schedule, and we hope to complete the combat in Q2.

We are doing very well so far. With the summer, family and work life coming up and all that could change.

I'm going to share with you some screen shots of the improved map, and new sky.
