Merc Tactics is an intense squad-based tactical PC game featuring intense tactical shootouts similar to Jagged Alliance or XCOM. Set against an environment plagued by civil unrest, you must overcome numerous enemies in Merc Tactics before their weapons fall silent and you take control. You are leading a small squad of mercenaries who pledge to restore order and rid your country of The Khondo's looting militia, which have taken control. Your mission: restore it! Careful consideration must be made as you navigate this region by recruiting mercenaries, upgrading skills, procuring weapons and armour and forging alliances with friendly militia. Each location in the campaign map hosts hostile militia, which must be engaged with in turn-based squad combat battles before challenging the main militia army with help from your allies as well as superior weapons and armour.

Merc Tactics is a turn based tactical strategy game, inspired by Jagged Alliance 2.

Every battle scene in Merc Tactics is procedurally generated, down to individual buildings and resource and enemy distribution on its main map - meaning every time you play will bring something unique! Each time, when playing again the outcome may differ significantly!

An enormous effort was invested into perfecting AI. AI employs four main positional tactics.

Standoff (defensive attack), Zerg (frontal attack), Flank and Retreat.

This algorithm decides on its tactics based on several varying factors, making AI both unpredictable and engagingly challenging.
