Version 0.9.1 addresses some of the issues from Version 0.8 by providing bug fixes, crash fixes and some minor balance alterations. This full game does not require prior patches nor vanilla game to play it properly.

Version 0.9.1 offers solutions to some of the issues encountered with previous installments by way of bug fixes, crash repairs and minor balance adjustments. Notable changes seen since version 0.9 can be seen in our feature rundown video below, with details regarding its changes listed separately below as patch notes for version 0.9.1.

Difficulty

AI difficulty levels were adjusted so that lower level AI are easier to defeat (while Demigods may remain slightly harder), while campaigns now provide for Very Easy settings.

Gameplay

Critical stun, freeze and paralyze effects have been adjusted based on both attacker's and defender's damage stats to be more fair - meaning these critical effects now work similarly as all others effects in-game. Basic units which had metal costs now cost only gold; no longer will there be unit types locked behind rarer resource costs. Crystal costs for abilities have become 10% cheaper and may now be adjusted via external files by any user. Wood Elves now turn mines into trees automatically according to an interval timer; that timer decreases with each Oakman sent into a mine, making mining much more cost effective overall. The Empire's embassies have been significantly weakened, having a much smaller conversion radius and taking much longer to convert, no longer being within range of another embassy and no longer allowed within that range of another one. Most missile units' stats (typically damage), except those with longer attack speeds have seen their stats reduced (usually damage). Missile siege weapons now classify as medium weapons allowing most antimissile units to counter them easily.

Heroes We have adjusted all classes' starting stats and bonus skills. In general, wizard heroes now possess approximately +50HP but -5MP. Fighter heroes possess approximately 200HP with +5 Damage per hit point; hybrid spellcaster/fighter heroes receive an increase to their Mana levels from these changes as well. Furthermore, all skills that award experience now award decimal level bonuses (so if an unit requires 5xp to level 2, but your hero possesses an ability that gives that unit +0.6 unit levels, the unit will instead produce it), making these skills much more usable overall!

Visuals We have revised the fog weather effects, the control panel production area now offers Loop as an option separate from Cycle, and added an Empire hero avatar.

Scenarios

We've updated and revamped many scenarios used in both campaigns and multiplayer modes to improve them and add features, such as dedicated cover zones with negative cover zones for proper, dedicated cover vs negative cover combatants; terrain height adjustments; resource carts with items; decurser/itemsmith utility buildings for the former two buildings and special events modified to counter some unwanted effects (for instance reward for conquering Etheria); special event changes to reduce undesired effects were also made where needed (like rewards being adjusted accordingly). Special events were edited further to correct some unwanted effects (for instance ;rewarded accordingly). Special events were edited further to remove undesirable effects (such as rewards being granted when conquering Etheria was awarded). Special events were edited further to fix some unwanted effects (such as rewards being issued when conquering Etheria was captured), while special event results from other sources (which was used).
