Descobrimentos Portugueses is set during the Age of Discovery for Portugal during the 15th Century. You are captaining an iconic vessel to sail towards Japan along its legendary path; with multiple obstacles (pirates, rioters and storms...) along the way! In order to achieve your destination and survive all obstacles along the journey (Pirates, Rioters rioters or storms looming ahead...) you will face along your voyage.

As we near completion of this demo, we are polishing off its final touches and getting set for its grand unveiling!

We are starting off our year at "Kurofune: Descobrimos Portugueses" by finalizing and prepping for its release.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday season! On our end, we took this time to recharge and assess what needed to be done prior to beginning our demo project.

As we stated in our last post, we're back and stronger than ever, ready to complete this project and prepare for new ones - don't miss out. What's the rush behind releasing the demo?

So we must determine how much attention the game is likely to garner. Being honest here, if the game doesn't receive much interest it could mean either our approach was insufficiently effective; or there may not be enough demand for what we are proposing (no matter how well improved) so its development won't gain steam.

Already we're getting analytics from social media; our game has seen great traction with fans reaching out for updates or providing feedback, while still remaining supported by us as they support it with purchases or support us with donations. Unfortunately though, most of our fans come from Portugal so it remains unknown as yet how well the game will do on an international market.

Releasing a demo as soon as possible provides us with answers and testers for feedback about improving the game.

What should we do in order to release a demo?

As a starting point, your game's core concept must exist - its main mechanics, art style and game design need to be fully realized; at least part of its contents need to be bug free and free from significant flaws.
