Emblem of Valor, a single player deckbuilding PC game developed by Far Star Studio, is participating in the current Steam Next Fest from February 5th to 12th. The team has also released an updated beta demo version.

At its core, Emblem of Valor utilizes the popular card game mechanic of deckbuilding, combined with an RPG-style party combat system. Players can recruit new characters to their party or have them take on new classes, adding those classes' unique cards to their deck. Each class brings distinct mechanics and playstyles, requiring strategic deck construction to make them work in harmony.

Of course, going solo with just one character is also viable. Whether you build a team of 1-3 members, stick to mono-class archetypes, or embrace diversity with different classes, every choice may bring different enjoyment and challenges.

Beyond the multi-character combat, Emblem of Valor also aims to differentiate itself in many details:

  • The questsystem provides objectives and rewards for each map, increasing strategic value in map selection.
  • The Voidmist system gradually empowers enemies over time, varying each run's obstacles.
  • Multibranch card upgrades and fusion systems.

The latest beta introduces the main Adventure mode and endless Trials mode in addition to previous Training mode. This update also brings numerous improvements to UI, music/sfx, monsters, cards, and abilities. Even players of previous demos may uncover fresh fun.

According to the team's roadmap, the game is slated for Early Access launch in March 2024. Interested players can wishlist it on Steam to receive updates!
