Opponium is a Real-Time-Strategy game, based on the free Flex 4 and AIR SDK, created by a group of three student (including me), 17 year old. This project started with a french game-making competition, Innov'Game 2010, and will be continued after that. It's not 3D, but we are too bad to make a 3D game in 4 months !
The game takes place in an other world, probably far away in the future. An explorer has landed on a old desterted scientific station with his ship, and tried to find the missing data about the scientists' research on the last Plants of Berdia's Sector. But he suddenly disappaered... just after activating the main intelligent computer of this artificial satellite, called "Sondou".
Then a war started between Sondou's robots and the Plants which had invaded the little planet...
Opponium is a RTS game, which let you play with two opponents, with
their own specificities and different gameplay. For example, Sondou is has more efficient units, but Plants can build a lot of powerful structures.
There is two ressources (+ a population cap) : the parts of metal and the energy (Sondou)/water (Plant). The first one must be collected on the ground, and the second one is automatically produced by some structures. Then you can build or recruit all things you need to complete the objectives.
In the other hand, you can find items on the map, or steal those of the enemy. These items can be used in different ways : upgrade an unit, gain some ressources, interact with the map...
Each units can carry a few items, and there are some which can push big objects of the stage in order to make a passage or block the enemy's army.
