Dimensional Prophecy of Zohar Redux Layer 1: Essence is a cyberpunk kinetic visual novel. There are very few choices and they do not affect the whole story, but only how certain scenes play out. Afterwards, the story gets back on the linear path.
In the far future, humanity gets attacked by unknown aliens with nearly incomprehensible shape and behavior. They attack human settlements on earth and mars seemingly at random. Humans are nearly defenseless against the invaders. But then, a German professor of Mathematics finds a program which is able to predict the behavior of the Aliens as well as future attacks. Because of this, a special institute is founded and tasked with coordinating the defense against the aliens as well as improving this algorithm. A young woman named Karala Yagiyu is appointed for the institute and thus, travels to Kyoto Novalis. But at the same time, the aliens start to attack.
