Characters (as of this moment):

Main Character, Harvy: An outcast, a conceited crook with no other passion than to fulfill his own selfish desires. Harvy has nothing to lose, and a man with nothing to lose takes great risks in the eyes of those who have everything.

Sintara, The Last Orphan: Sintara is the last known living orphan of the Apollyon Asylum. She has continued to survive through her cunning intellect and sheer paranoia exhumed by the same schizophrenia that haunts her dreams. She is a bit odd, and quite eccentric. She will continue to elude the main character until the time is right for you to know the truth about what's happened at the asylum, and possibly have some answers for you about your cash. You may see her in the corner of your eye while she runs rampant throughout the hallways, but don't mistake her for a demon ready to rip the flesh off your bones.

The Director: Once a man with a darkened heart, he has slowly and completely been consumed by the evil that lies deep below the asylum.

Lacerated Dogs: A viscous beast running wild around the asylum grounds warding off any trespassers that dare to come near. Once innocent orphans, they have been the victims of brutal treatment and sinister experiments by the asylum's doctors, their souls now belong to the evil spirit of the asylum to do its’ bidding. They have been resurrected as blood-thirsty hounds of hell to guard the devil's treasures.

Electro Shock Orderly: A hateful being that plagues the asylum's hallways with the terrible sounds of electric bolts piercing through a deprived victim's skull.

Apollyon Asylum Redux

Jan 16 2011

Apollyon's new beginning..

Hello everyone, I'm proud to announce that along with the new year, I have taken a new direction with the art style of the Asylum as mentioned in previous news. The old assets that created the aesthetic of the environment and the surrounding grounds around the asylum, gas station, and caretaker's house have been trashed due to the lack of quality and robustness. Though the setting may have changed a bit(don't worry, it's for the better) the story, characters, and action/puzzler genre has stayed true just as it has marinating in my brain for these past few months.

I've taken some in-game footage of the new features that have recently been implemented; A fully dynamic and seamless Day/Night cycle for your viewing pleasure, the Thompson SMG to get your old-school mafia kicks, and an old drivable Ford Model T that will be needed for various gameplay sequences throughout your stay at the Apollyon Asylum. Take a look at the new video and screenshots below!
