Maru VR of Estonia announced their VR game Bootstrap Island will release on Steam Early Access on February 22, 2024.
Maru VR unveiled a trailer at UploadVR's Winter 2023 Showcase to announce Bootstrap Island's early access release date on Steam.
PCVR players will be delighted to know that 17th Century Virtual Reality Survival Game will debut on February 22, 2024 with full launch scheduled for 2025.
Bootstrap Island was developed specifically for virtual reality headsets such as Valve Index and Meta (Oculus) Quest PC-link devices; providing an immersive, yet comfortable survival adventure using natural control mechanisms with few menus or menu-driven menus.
Maru VR recently made their return from Steam Next Fest with an updated demo that incorporates much of the feedback received over recent months. Players will get to test out this latest version of Bootstrap Island during Steam VR Fest this week (December 4-11th) where they find themselves shipwrecked on an unfamiliar tropical island from 17th century and must quickly learn to adapt and survive by exploring for food, collecting materials for fire making, as well as protecting themselves against attacks by dangerous beasts in order to make fire.
